About Julie Raikes
Julie is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accounts and a Fellow member of the Association of Accounting Technicians. Julie holds Practising certificates as a Member in Practice for both organisations. This means you can be assured that:
- Appropriate Professional Indemnity Insurance to be held
- Continuing Professional Development to be undertaken to ensure skills are maintained and developed where appropriate
- Contingency plans in the event of sickness or death
- Terms of Business to be agreed

Experience
- 17 years experience working in Law Firms, 6 of those at a senior Finance Controller/Director level
- Considerable experience of working with clients from various industries including law, manufacturing, charity and construction industries as well as some other service organisations
- Experience in bringing together the various administration roles in a business to ensure goal congruence
- Experience in working in partnership with IT, Human Resources, Health & Safety, Risk Management, Office administration ensuring all areas of the organisation are considered in managing financial goals and performance
Julie's Strengths
- Ability to work at operational, tactical and strategic levels
- Excellent training skills to explain, train and coach staff in basic book keeping, accounting rules and procedures
- Excellent communication skills to work with managers in developing procedures for improving efficiency and with senior Directors or business owners to analyse and review the organisations performance and manage growth, consolidation and change.
- Deep understanding of the financial requirements of any business and the fears and desires of business owners, managers and staff, ensuring those Julie is working with, at whatever level, are supported
